3-6 September 2024
Real Observatorio de Madrid, Madrid (Spain)
HOME
The Young European Radio Astronomers Conference (https://yerac.jive.eu/), which has been held almost every year for the last 50 years, is a unique opportunity for PhD students and early-career researchers. For many students, YERAC is, probably, their first time attending an international conference. In fact, the participants have the chance to extend their knowledge about different scientific aspects of radio astronomy and techniques, from single dish to interferometric observations. This provides a broad and useful vision for the next generation of future radio astronomers.
Venue
This year, the 53rd edition of YERAC will be hosted by National Astronomical Observatory (Observatorio Astronómico Nacional, OAN) and Yebes Observatory at the facilities of OAN in Madrid, Spain. The Real Observatorio de Madrid, in the heart of Madrid is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Paisaje de la Luz, which offers a rich cultural experience. Additionally, we also plan to visit the Yebes Observatory on Thursday; more details will be provided soon.
We remind all participants that they have been invited via nomination from their supervisors or institution director and will actively participate with a 15+5 minutes talk. Please note that the capacity for this event is limited to 40 participants.
